Each level of the game is a platformer, with locations designed as dungeons of ancient civilizations. A number of dungeons contain gods that are hostile to the player. The gameplay is unhurried, and before each step you have to think about whether there is a trap in the new location.

Movements often have to be considered in advance to avoid dangers and traps. Controls are simple and adapted to one-hand play. The levels can resemble the pyramids of Ancient Egypt as well as the jungles of Angkor Wat or the caves of Tibet.
