The player controls a team of basketball players. You can choose players from available characters, whose prototypes are real NBA stars. There are even posters with them for the fans. You can upgrade skills and parameters of each of them. 

Directly during the match you can control any player, but the actions are determined by the moves in the match three puzzle. The player must match three or more tiles in one row. The more tiles you can match, the better the action for the controlled character. There is a system of championships both with AI teams and with teams of other players over the Internet.
